What We Know
The Waters of Mars is the second of David Tennant's four 2009 specials leading up to The Doctor's regeneration at the end of the year.
As the name suggests, the story will be set on Mars and will feature a new companion by the name of Adelaide, played by Lindsay Duncan.
It is thought, while not part of the closing story arc, this episode is still linked to the final two specials due to air over the Christmas period.
There is a teaser trailer on the BBC website. This was first aired following the broadcast of Planet of the Dead in Easter 2009.
