What We Know
This is expected to be the two-part final story for David Tennant's Doctor.
Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and her grandfather, Wilf (Bernard Cribbins) are expected to return to the series during these specials.
John Simm has been photographed on set and therefore it appears the story will feature The Doctor's nemesis, The Master who was last seen in the third series finale.
Jessica Hynes (previously seen in the Human Nature two-parter) has been sighted alongside Tennant - the episode that put a couple of the building blocks for The Master's return in place. Additionally, we can expect a number of past characters returning including Captain Jack (John Barrowman), Sarah Jane Smith (Liz Sladen) and Midshipman Frame (Russell Tovey) who reprises his role from the Titanic-themed 2007 Christmas Special.
Other rumours suggest that Davies will be taking the story a full 360 degrees with the return of the Timelords (and Gallifrey) marking the end of the season and his reign at the helm of the series and leaving a nice clean slate for Stephen Moffat to inherit next year.
Updates: 16/06
Timothy Dalton has been photographed alongside David Tennant and John Simm (see image below) and is expected to play a high-ranking Timelord.
We may get to meet the Doctor's mother.
Billie Piper and Camille Coduri have both been seen filming scenes and it is thought at least some of these are set in 2005 BEFORE they meet the Doctor.
